The Author
Born in Los Angeles, California, my walk with the Lord began at a young age. Raised in a home with a God-fearing grandmother, who loved the Lord with all of her heart, I gave my life to God at 10 years-old. Although I strayed in young adulthood, I found my way back home.   All praises to God for his grace and mercy!

I am a Christian Fiction writer, adjunct college professor, mental health nurse, and mother of two. Approximately six years ago I started journaling as a form of self-therapy. Prayer and journaling notes brought peace and hope back into my life. Writing a novel was a gift from God--not something I had planned to do. While sitting in front of my computer one day, I used those notes to type several chapters. That was the beginning of my first novel, "Reflections of a Quiet Storm."  After writing 9 chapters, I stuffed the manuscript in a drawer and it stayed there for six months. The story, based on some of my true life experiences, strummed too many painful chords--loud and clear. Through the Lord's compassionate guidance, I completed the manuscript and submitted it to two publishers. Jessica Tilles, Chief Editor and owner of XYP, published the novel in March 2009. In addition to writing novels, I also write articles on health-related issues. My articles have appeared in Advance for Nurses Magazine, the Los Angeles Sentinel Newspaper, and several online magazines.
